WERO - Women Equality and Human Rights Organization(WERO)

stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment in Uganda and East Africa. As a dedicated nonprofit and non-governmental organization, WERO is passionately committed to advancing the equality, inclusion, and rights of women.

Founded in 2021 by a group of compassionate human rights advocates and social workers, WERO began as an advocacy group, fueled by a shared vision of a world where every woman can thrive. Recognized officially by the government, it has since evolved into a vital force for change, addressing the systemic challenges and barriers that women face daily.

WERO’s mission goes beyond mere advocacy; it is about fostering gender equality, economic empowerment, and social justice.
